CHRISTMAS EVE

4:30

WELCOME GUESTS AND FAMILIES
We are a "three streamed" Anglican church with elements of sacrament, scripture, and Spirit woven throughout the service. Godly Play (for kids grades PreK - 6th), healing prayers, and Communion are offered each Sunday.

ADVENT
Advent and Christmas? In the religious world, Advent is not Christmas. Advent is "Promise" and "Preparation"; Christmas is "Proclamation of the Promise Fulfilled."
In Advent our readings center around the prophecies of the birth. It is a penitential season wherein we prepare ourselves for Christ to be born (or return). In Christmas our readings (and carols) center around the circumstances around the glorious birth of the Promise - and lasts a full 12 Days.

CONFIRMATION AND REAFFIRMATIONS W/BISHOP LOVE
Bishop Love will be our guest, Sunday December, 21 to preach, celebrate, and confirm Diane Benson and Wendy Marceau.
Additionally, those (Anglicans) wanting to reaffirm their confirmation vows will also have the opportunity for the laying on of hands. Those desiring to reaffirm their confirmation will be asked to stand in the service and affirm the vows beginning on page 175 of the prayer book.
While this season’s colors are blue for Advent, people are also encouraged to wear red (symbolizing the fire of the Spirit) on this day.
Come Holy Spirit!

SACRED SPACE SMALL GROUPS CONTINUE
It's not too late to get in on a Sacred Space group. For more information see Rita or email her HERE.

CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS
Beautiful Poinsettias are all around the altar and pulpits and can be dedicated to the memory of a person, or event, or simply your part in making the church beautiful for the holidays. Checks can be earmarked; more information with Alice.

Poinsettias are given in memory of:

  • Gene and Josephine DeMarie

  • John and Ruby Packard

  • Sandy Miller

PRAYER MINISTRY AVAILABLE AFTER THE SERVICE
We are a place that participates in the healing ministry of the Holy Spirit. Healing comes in all shapes and sized - from instantaneous to prolongs, from physical to emotional. Trained prayer ministers will be available after church for anyone desiring prayer.

RECEIVING COMMUNION AT ACC
All baptised Christians are invited to receive Communion, regardless of one's denominational affiliation. Bread is received with on hand cupped upon the other. Wine in the first chalice may be sipped or intincted (dipped) with bread, juice in the second chalice may be intincted only.  Bread alone is appropriate. Those choosing not to receive communion may approach the table with arms crossed over the chest and the priest will over a blessing.
