NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS NOVEMBER 1ST
For all new to the church family, this is what we do: Everything left over from the rummage sales is placed in the Grange Hall and given absolutely free to anyone in the community. Each family member receives a tall kitchen bag to fill as much as they want. The most rewarding part of the day is seeing the smiles on their faces when walking out the door with bags filled to the brim!

We need help! Because the rummage sales have done so wonderful this year, we are in need of clothing, bedding, blankets, toys, kitchen items etc. As of right now there are several people in the community have reached out to help us which is awesome. Andover Service Club has been collecting food, someone is else if providing animal food.

We also are looking for volunteers to work for however long you wish to help others find what they need, offer prayers, have conversations, or just carry out their bags. If you have any questions or would like to help, see Donna.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and love your neighbors as yourself."  Luke 10:27 & "Freely you have received; freely give." Matthew 10:8

MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER WITH LYNNE CHENEY
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer found in women, after skin cancer.

The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a celebration of courage and hope, a movement uniting communities to end breast cancer as we know it, for everyone. Our movement is the nation’s largest and most impactful breast cancer movement and raises funds for lifesaving breast cancer research and programs, working to ensure everyone has a fair and just opportunity to live a longer, healthier life free from breast cancer.  The Making Strides movement raises lifesaving funds that support breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers through every step of the journey. It has enhanced digital offerings available to anyone across the nation, including one-on-one breast cancer patient support services and the use of video chat to safely connect patients, caregivers, and family members with valuable services and resources through the website, in addition to a 24/7 helpline.

Teams raise money all year and the culminating event is to participate in the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk which happens in October, the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My team's name is Aces Angels and we are walking on October 26th in Concord at the Memorial Field.

If you would like more information you can visit my team page HERE.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU BREAKFAST | MEET OUR CLERGY
Those new to the church and wanting to know more about its history, clergy, mission and vision, are invited to a Saturday gathering with coffee and bagels and other early morning munchies on Saturday, November 8, from 8:45 - 10:00. RSVP with Jeri HERE.

NOVEMBER: INTERNATIONAL MONTH OF PRAYER FOR PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS
A prayer calendar for the Month of November will be available in the back of the church - each day to pray for a different hot spot in the world. You may also download it here.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD HAS BEGUN
Be sure to pick up your box in the back of the church. Last year we delivered 43 shoe boxes. The postage for the boxes is $10 each. The boxes and a sheet of paper (with ideas and also what is not allowed) is available at the media table in the rear of the church. Boxes should be turned in by November 2nd. See Donna for details.

ADVENT FELLOWSHIP WILL BE SOUPER
During the season of Advent, those providing fellowship are asked to offer soups and breads, instead of the "normal" offerings. This year Advent begins Sunday, November 30 (the Sunday after Thanksgiving).

RECEIVING COMMUNION AT ACC
All baptised Christians are invited to receive Communion, regardless of one's denominational affiliation. Bread is received with on hand cupped upon the other. Wine in the first chalice may be sipped or intincted (dipped) with bread, juice in the second chalice may be intincted only.  Bread alone is appropriate. Those choosing not to receive communion may approach the table with arms crossed over the chest and the priest will over a blessing.

PRAYER MINISTRY AVAILABLE AFTER CHURCH
We are a place that participates in the healing ministry of the Holy Spirit. Healing comes in all shapes and sized - from instantaneous to prolongs, from physical to emotional. Trained prayer ministers will be available after church for anyone desiring prayer.
