WELCOME SUMMER VISITORS!
Whether travelling through or living locally, you're welcome to worship in this place on Sunday. We are an orthodox "three-streamed" church with elements Scripture, Sacrament, and Spirit laced throughout our time, and affiliated with the Anglican Dioceses of New England.

Children through the 6th grade are welcome to attend GodlyPlay - a hands on program retelling Biblical stories in fresh ways. Kids leave after the music and return at the Peace to receive communion with their families.
We welcome you to worship this morning.

Fr. Bill

BACON!
Men are reminded of the Men's Breakfast this Thursday, June 20, at 8:00. All are invited for a joyful time of caffeine and bacon. Diana's in Tilton. Bring a bud.

LAY READER'S MEETING THIS WEEK AFTER CHURCH
All Lay readers will be having a meeting after church this Sunday. Contact Seth for more information.

SERVICE CHANGES TO BEGIN JULY 7
Lazy summer days are upon us. For July and August you will see a number of changes in our church services. Here are a few:

  • Clergy will not be wearing robes, only stoles.

  • Only song lyrics will be projected on the screens. All liturgy will come from hand-held prayer books and Scripture bulletins.

  • Healing service is on the fifth Sunday of June - the 30th - with fellowship taking place outside and sponsored by the vestry.

  • Our Anglican Roots. A class taught by Jef DeMarie will run July 14 - August 25. New members are to attend, but all are welcomed to explore the theology and praxis of who we are and why we do what we do on Sunday mornings. Information here.

CHURCH-WIDE PRAYER TEXTING BEGINS IN JULY
A church wide texting prayer chain unites the church and allows for the sharing or requests, pictures, and concerns. If you would like to be a part of a newly forming Church Prayer list, see Seth. A sign up sheet will be in the rear of the church beginning June 30.

FLOODGATE CROSS PICTURES
To see pictures of the event which happened at our church - taken by Lizzy Carpenter - check out the Faces page here.

PRAY TO BE HEARD!
During Prayers of the People we encourage you pray your spontaneous prayer loudly using your "outdoor" voice. This will ensure everyone can hear the prayer and give their whole-hearted AMEN to your supplication.

LIVING WORD ADULT CLASS TO CONTINUES THIS WEEK
A new adult discussion class based on the Scripture readings of the day will be held in the Upper Room after fellowship. All are invited to bring their Bibles and dig deeper into the OT, Psalm, NT, and Gospel of the Day.

PRAYER MINISTERS ON CALL
If you are a trained prayer minister please be "on call" after the service, as many are taking advantage of this powerful ministry.

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
Most people in the church are involved in at least one ministry where they can grow as followers of Jesus and mentor others in the gifts and calling. We currently have open leadership positions for two areas:

  • Anglicans For Life: A pro-Life ministry dedicated to one even a year and creating an ongoing awareness of issues from abortion to euthanasia to the church.

  • Hospitality: A ministry which coordinates fellowship and volunteers at church gatherings.

Other ministries - like Tech, Sound, Outreach, Music, and Godly Play are available for gifted people to assist as well. If you have a passion for a ministry which has yet to be developed here - or for information on any of the lay ministries at the church, speak with Fr. Bill after the service, or contact him here.

CHURCH MEMBERSHIP CLASSES TO BEGIN
If you are interested in learning more about our church, or being confirmed or received into the Anglican communion see Jef DeMarie or Fr. Bill to sign up.
Classes begin July 14 to August 25, just after Fellowship Hour.

PRAYERS REQUESTED BY RT.  REV. FOLEY BEACH
A call to prayer has been requested by our Archbishop on behalf of the election of a new one this June 20. Read more about it here

BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER GIVING
If you are interested in donating monies towards the purchase of books used in our worship services, you may do so by earmarking your checks or envelopes "Worship Books."
The church is in need of two cases of Anglican Prayer Books (at $479.25 each) which will grant us 34 books, and updated Bibles all 'round.

ONLINE GIVING IS EASY AND SAFE
Many in the church and those giving one time gifts from the community are utilizing online giving. Online giving is easy and safe and - best of all - reoccurring giving can be set up so you don't need to scramble on Sunday mornings writing your offering check. Besides regular giving, online giving provides opportunities to donate to specific funds like Kenyen Wells, Rector's discretionary fund, and more. Records are kept for tax purposes, too. You can check it out on the "Give" page of the website here

GUEST WIFI
If you are seeking to fact check a sermon, follow along in your online Bible, look up a Scripture, or do some on the spot exegesis on a Greek term,
be sure to hop on the free WIFI in the church.
See Bruce or Donna or Seth for the password to the guest WIFI.

SPIRITUAL GIFT INVENTORY
A spiritual gift inventory is available for those wanting to discover their spiritual gifts and skills. Summertime is a good time to reflect upon your ministry in the church and switch things around as you'd like. You can download the inventory from the Ways to Serve page here.

DISPATCHES

This edition of our diocesan newsletter, Dispatches, is a great way to see what God is doing around the diocese. Read it directly from the diocesan website here.

TWIN RIVER FOOD PANRY NEEDS

Cheryl Swenson on the Board of Directors from the Twin Rives Food Pantry writes, "Despite the warmth of summer we are requesting soup and some jelly for those popular PPB & J sandwiches kids love so much!  Thanks for your assistance in collecting these items in July." Donations can be given in the white box to the left as you enter the foyer of the church.
