Fellowship after each service.

Discovery Bible Study begins November 28, after the second service.

THANK YOU!

Thank you to all who made last Sunday such a special day. From the Services of Installation and Confirmation/Reception to the Open House, Cinnamon and I were so honored at every step of the day. Those being received and and confirmed were equally as blessed. We are feeling right "at home," and excited for the next bend of the road for what God will be doing next!

TRAFFIC JAM REPORTED

Last week we had a traffic jam in the parking lot. By Sunday we will be paved.

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS of the GOD KIND

The Encounter Weekend provides extended times where God's love is poured out through the Person of the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). This weekend five women from our church will join 50 others for a retreat weekend of worship, teaching, ministry, and fellowship. Be praying for the weekend for God's best to be poured out amongst all in attendance.

ADVENT IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER

A few things to note for the season of Advent:

  • Advent Calendars will be given to families of the KidzChurch program. Each evening they can open a new window and reflect upon the birth of Jesus as a family. The calendars are gifts from the church and will be available in the church this Sunday.

  • Discovery Bible Study. Each Sunday of Advent will be a time to reflect on the readings affiliated with Advent. The study will last a bit under an hour and take place after the 10:00 AM service.

  • Advent is a penitential season. It's color (blue) is two-fold. It invites us to prepare our hearts for his coming and reminds us of his glorious royalty as King, born in our hearts. The season is also marked by different prayers and reflective music. As a "penitential season," Advent invites us to practice disciplines of the Faith, such as intentional devotions, times of silence, intentional loving of others, fasting, and (yes, even) feasting! Above all, Advent is a season of waiting. We await the second coming of Christ and live as if he will arrive this afternoon.

Join us in the church on Saturday November 27 at 9:00 AM to decorate the building and get into the Spirit of the holy days!

GRIEFSHARE TO BEGIN IN JANUARY AT THE HUB

For those grieving the loss of a family member or friend, the Holidays can be a difficult time. You may have found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt that you feel. It can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. GriefShare is a way to help heal and navigate after the loss of a loved one. For more information on time and place, see Pastor Cinnamon or Deacon Kathy, or visit our website page here.

FACEMASKING | SOCIAL DISTANCING

We are still dealing with this Thing. COVID in NH is shooting higher than ever. Face-masking is still "strongly encouraged." Please seek to remain 6 feet apart while taking Communion, as some are more susceptible to health issues than others (1 Corinthians 8:9).

ISRAEL: APRIL 20 - 30, 2022

Pastor Bill is leading a trip to the Holy Land, from Dan to Beersheba (beginning in the Galilee and ending in Jerusalem, with multiple historical stops along the way). If you'd like to learn more about the trip see him, or visit his website page here.

PRAY THIS THIS WEEK:

Almighty and everlasting God, you govern all things in heaven and on earth: Mercifully hear our prayers, and grant that in our congregation the pure Word of God may be preached and the Sacraments duly administered. Strengthen and confirm the faithful; protect and guide the children; visit and relieve the sick; turn and soften the wicked; arouse the careless; recover the fallen; restore the penitent; remove all hindrances to the advancement of your truth; and bring us all to be one heart and mind within your holy Church, to the honor and glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

BLESSED IN GIVING ALL 'ROUND

We are so grateful for your continued giving. Giving is best done:

  • In the offering plates at the rear of the church (as you enter)

  • Online giving here.

  • Given directly to Donna T.

Special funds such as the discretionary/deacon's fund and the Mission of the Month fund can be specifically targeted by earmarking your check accordingly.

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Luke 6:38

VESTRY NOMINATIONS TAKEN NOW
Nominations are being taken now, and will be voted on at the Annual Meeting in January. Incoming vestry members will serve either one, two, or three years. A vestry retreat (mandatory) is slated for February. If you'd like to inquire more so, or toss your name in the pot - or would even like to suggest someone in the church to run for vestry in 2022 - see Alice G. Vestry nominees must be confirmed members of the church.
