   WELCOME!
Whether on the silver screen or in person, we are glad you're here!

FOR HEROIC SERVICE - A PRAYER

O Judge of the Nations, we remember before you with grateful hearts the men and women of our country who in the day of decision ventured much for the liberties we now enjoy. Grant that we may not rest until all people of this land share the benefits of true freedom and gladly accept its disciplines. This we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.

COMMUNION THIS WEEK

We continue to celebrate communion on the first and third Sunday of the month at the 10:00 service (communion every Sunday at the 8:00 AM service) but you'll notice a few changes as we go along:

  • No More Mini-Altars. Bread, juice, and wine will be served from the front of the church by real people.

  • Communion bread is given by the priest. Receive the bread by cupping one one hand above the other. Juice is in the wooden tray, wine in the gold. Please return the cups to their place after receiving.

  • Those choosing not to take Communion, or those not baptized, may cross their arms across their chest and receive a blessing from the priest. (It is not necessary to do this with the juice, or wine, only at the bread.)

"INVITATIONS"

Invitations is a Sunday class for those interested in becoming members of the church and those seeking to be received or confirmed as Anglican. The class will be held across two consecutive Sundays, August 8 & 15, from 12:00 - 1:30 PM. A light lunch will be provided. Sign-ups are essential. Email Jef DeMarie to get on the list.

PARKING LOT UPDATE: $3800 NEEDED

Praise God! Over the past few months we've whittled the 35K expense to pave the upper and lower parking lots down $3800. If you would like to contribute to the cause you may see Donna on Sunday, or email her here. Paving of the parking lot will begin the end of July.

ALPHA TO REIGNITE IN SEPTEMBER

  • WHAT IT IS:

    • The ALPHA program is a 10 week course where participants are invited to share a meal, hear a teaching on an aspect of the Faith, and openly share their thoughts and viewpoints. Guests of the course include those searching the meaning of life, those seeking to clarify what they believe (and why), or to brush up on the basics. We strongly recommend newcomers to the church to take the ALPHA Course, as it runs deep in the DNA of our community.

  • WHAT WE NEED:

    • Servers to cook, prepare the Grange Hall, be small group helpers, and more are needed to create an atmosphere of hospitality among our guests.

    • Guests to be invited. These are people you know, people you work with. You will invite them to the opening session, enjoy a meal with them, and leave them to participate for the rest of the course.

For more information about the course and how you may either sign up or serve, email Linda here

ISRAEL IS REAL: DAN TO BEERSHEBA SLATED FOR APRIL 2022

This Saturday, July 3, Pastors Cinnamon and Bill are hosting a zoom-informational meeting with those wanting to hear more about the trp. from 9:00 AM - 10:00 EST. Email Bill HERE if you'd like to participate. More information, including ZOOM portal, is on Bill's website HERE.

TITHES AND OFFERINGS

Giving 10% of one's income is the minimum standard of giving in the Scripture. This practice, dating from Jesus' day, is meant to carry on the practical needs of the faith community (things like copy paper, electric bills, maintenance, clergy support, and more). Many new believers believe that money supernaturally appears for churches because, as Scripture says, "The Lord provides." Sooner or later we all realize that indeed he does provide, but he does that through us!

Many "tithe" in other ways. We may direct our offerings into a particular pocket of the church - say, Franklin Outreach, ALPHA, or the Deacon's Fund. Others choose to purchase items for the church, or give the gift of "time" through serving, teaching, or some other way. While these practices are wonderful and generous, they should be done in addition to the Biblical tithe, and not in place of it.

Giving is done in two ways:

  • Offering plates at the rear of the church (as you enter)

  • Online giving here

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
