EMERGENCY RELOCATION PROGRAM

The holy family is ready to leave the basement of the Nazareth and make way upstairs to the land given to them through the prophet, Stevecarolizaiah. Some of them have made it the journey into the church (along with a cow, and an empty manger). Yet it has been prophesied they will all be resting in the stable by Christmas Eve. If you would like to help move the holy family from the valley to the mountaintop, it will happen just after the second service, or see Eric F. on Sunday.

ADVENT OPPORTUNITY

Each Sunday in Advent we light the wreath, say a reading, and end with a prayer (at the 10:00 service). If you and your family, or a group of friends, would like to lead these prayers, we're looking for people for Sunday. See Fr. Bill, or email him here

POINSETTAS

A beautiful way to remember a loved one is to decorate the sanctuary with a poinsettia. They can be purchased by you and brought into the sanctuary, or monies for purchase can be given to Donna T. See Alice G. for more information.

DISCOVERY BIBLE STUDY

Each Sunday of Advent will be a time to reflect on the readings affiliated with Advent. The Discovery Bible study is a place to hear what the Spirit is speaking to you in the passage with the intention of living that truth out through the week. The study lasts about an hour and take place after the 10:00 AM service. All are welcome!

PARENT GET-A-WAY: A MINISTRY OF KIDZCHURCH

Parents wanting to break away to go Christmas Shopping may bring their kids to the Grange Hall for a morning of preparations for the Christmas Eve puppets theater. It will be a morning of arts and crafts and learning about the Bethlehem story. A light lunch will be served too! Hours are from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Saturday December 11. RSVP with how many children you're planning on bringing required here.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING: DECEMBER 19

Tune up your voices and make plans to sing the the Good News! Meet at the church at 4:00 PM on December 19.  Invite friends to spread cheer by singing carols together
and enjoy fellowship with home made hot chocolate afterwards.

GRIEFSHARE TO BEGIN JANUARY 14th AT THE HUB

For those grieving the loss of a family member or friend, the Holidays can be a difficult time. You may have found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt that you feel. It can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. GriefShare is a way to help heal and navigate after the loss of a loved one. For more information on time and place, visit our website page here.

A PRAYER FOR FUTURE VESTRY LEADERSHIP

Almighty and ever living God, source of all wisdom and calling, stir those whom you've called for the renewal and mission of this church. We pray you'd raise up anointed leadership for 2022, empower them with your Spirit, and grace them in your compassion. In all things teach us to seek first your honor and glory and grant us the courage to pursue the call of Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

BLESSED IN GIVING ALL 'ROUND

We don't take a formal offering of monies on Sundays. Offertory plates are in the rear of the church and checks can be written out to ACC. There are a couple of other way to give, too, such online giving here, or directly to Donna T. Special funds such as the discretionary/deacon's fund or the Mission of the Month fund can be specifically targeted by earmarking your check accordingly.

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Luke 6:38

WEEKLY GIVING: UP AND BEYOND

Designated giving to a particular ministry or mission of the church is considered up and beyond regular Sunday offerings. While there's a tendency to give into a special fund or project, even considering "time spent" as your tithe (or a portion thereof), these acts of giving are considered up and beyond weekly commitments. With the beginning of Advent (the church's New Year), now is a good time to evaluate your giving, seeking what the Lord would have you give, and consider where he may additionally be calling you to serve.

KINGDOM PRAYER MINISTRY AT ANDOVER

We are a church that believes heaven intersects with earth each time we meet. There are a number of ways to respond to God's invitation to meet him.

  • Each Sunday after the 10:00 AM service prayers are offered by trained prayer ministers near the front of the church. Prayers can be for you (health, finances, family, etc.) or they can be they can be for those you love, or a situation in your life.

  • Prayer appointments can be arranged for extended times of "soaking prayer" through the week. Appointments can be made with Cinnamon B. or Linda M.

  • The Prayer Hive is updated weekly and lists names and conditions of those needing prayer in our community here(Password protected. Contact the office here to request yours.) Additionally, scrolling through the hive is a way to pray for our church in your quiet times.

  • Zoom Prayers each Wednesday at 8:00 AM here.

  • Personal counselling and prayer appointments with Fr. Bill. Contact here.

What a privilege it is to carry... Everything to God in prayer!

INSTALATION SERMON BY BISHOP ANDREW

A powerful sermon was preached by our Bishop at the Service of Installation and Confirmation. It had to do with restoration and God's will in our trials.
