Sunday

Readings

Church This Week

This Sunday's 10:00 AM worship will be a healing service. There will be prayers of intercession and supplication corporately and individually.

WELCOME VISITORS

You've landed in a great place where the love of God is demonstrated through ancient traditions, practical sermons, and authentic expressions of the Spirit.

The 8:00 AM service is a one hour "by the book" gathering with communion each Sunday.

The 10:00 AM service runs 90 minutes and includes music. Both services offer prayers afterward, and may be "zoom" by clicking the zoom icon at the top of this page.

For more information about Andover Community Church, peruse our website, or call the church offices for a visit with the pastors.

We are glad to have you with us.

HEALING PRAYERS

Prayers for healing and comfort are offered by trained prayer ministers after each service. You are invited to come up to the front where a prayer team will greet and pray with you in the compassion of Christ through the Holy Spirit.

ATTENTION ZOOMERS

We love having your participation in the services. Please note ways to enhance your worship from home:

  • Download the liturgy of the day from the top of this page and follow along in the service.

  • Use the Prayers of the People time to lift up your own prayers to the Lord. You will be unable to hear the prayers from the sanctuary, so make your home that place. This part of the service usually runs about 5 minutes.

  • Share feedback. We need to know how we sound our there in zoom land. Can you hear the readers? Music? Sermon? Your remarks can be emailed directly to the office here.

GIVE IT AWAY

A recent PDF was created to give away at Franklin Days and the July 4 celebrations. It is highly duplicatable and can be used in your own sharing with others about the church. View and/or download the PDF postcard here.

Water.jpg

HOLY HOLY WATER, BATMAN!

As you enter the church Sunday you will see a new addition, just there under the clock. It is a vessel of blessed water. The water is taken from Mt. Hermon, just above the Sea of Galilee. It is there to remind us of our baptism and our identity in Christ with God the Father. (Sometimes we forget.) Some will notice it and move into the Sanctuary. Others will dip their fingers into the water and cross their forehead. No matter. It stands as a beautiful symbol of cleansing in the Spirit and a reminder of who we are as God's redeemed people headed for the Promised Land.

FR. BILL TO BE GUEST AT DAUGHTERS OF THE CROSS ASSEMBLY

The Daughters of the Cross is an Order of women committed to
making disciples and serving Jesus through our Rule of Life:
prayer, service, study and evangelism. Every couple of years they gather to worship, pray, and do business. This year Pastor Bill has been invited to lead worship and workshops on Joy in Worship and The Stories Behind Some Favorite Worship Songs. Pray for the conference and for him to rightly glorify the Lord in that place. The conference is next weekend in Mesa Arizona, May 20-29.

ANDOVER BEACON SPOTTED IN THE NEGEV FOR FORTY DAYS AND FORTY NIGHTS

Unusual and dubious sightings of Linda McGrail and her pet camel "Camella" have been reported wandering around the wilderness with a recent edition of the Andover Beacon tucked under her shoulder. If you have any awareness of these matters, please lead them to the nearest oasis.

A VIDEO of the pilgrimage can be viewed above.

REV MIKE FLYNN

Pastor Bill's most significant mentor passed away two weeks ago. God's ministry through Mike continues to have a profound fruitfulness in Africa, Hong Kong, Britain and the States. His books, life, and the way he loved highly impacted who our Pastor is today. In fact, once after Mike taught at one of Bill's churches, a person came up to Bill and said, "This guy is just like an older Bill Blomquist!"

A bit of Mike's life is on the New Wine Missionary Network pages here, and a download of a brochure outlining Freshwind Ministries (Mike's ministry) is here. May his love and influence of the Lord continue into eternity.
