Our next rummage sale (and bake) is Saturday, October 30. If you have items you'd like to give for the sale please bring them in anytime after the Wednesday before the sale, anytime after October 27.

PRAYER TEAM GATHERING

A gathering of the healing team, including those called to the ministry, will happen next week, October 31, just after the 10:00 PM service. See Linda M. for details.

OCTOBER MISSION OF THE MONTH: OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Each year we send shoeboxes of love all around the world. Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse. Ideas for age-based children are here. Curious to learn more. See Donna T.

OPEN HOUSE FOR THE COMMUNITY - NOVEMBER 14 FROM 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM

On November 14 - and in celebration with the Bishop's visit, installation, and confirmations, we are hosting a community and church-wide open house. It will be a time when folks can come, meet the Bishop, and peruse the campus. There will be soup and sandwiches in the Grange Hall, beverages and snacks in the Church Offices and the East Andover Preschool. Perhaps you know of folks who would like to visit the church again, or even inquire as to how to enroll their child in the preschool? This day is for them. Also see the blurb in the Andover Beacon in November.  If you'd like to to help out with set-up, or clean up, speak with Alice G. Sunday.

LEAF BRIGADE REMOVAL: IN SERCH OF HOLY RAKERS

Grab your rakes and mark your calendars for Saturday, November 6, where we will be preparing the grounds through leaf banishment in preparation for the Bishop's visit. See Eric for details.

SKILLED WITH A SAW?

Pastor Bill is seeking a person(s) who could make a puppet theater for a Christmas Eve presentation. The theater could be set on a table, or be free standing. Interested? Email Bill here

WE ARE ANGLICANS FOR LIFE

We are associated with Anglicans for Life. There are a number of people in the church who would like to see pro-Life issues elevated in our community. See Donna K if you'd like to be involved. A second, more local ministry we support is Aspire Women's Center. Pray for the unborn, the born, and the dying.

ENCOUNTER WEEKENDS FILLING UP

  • Women's Encounter: November 19 - 21, 2021

  • Men's Encounter: December 3 - 5, 2021

Diocesan information page here. See or email Cinnamon this week for more information.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR OTHERS

The Encounter Weekend provides extended times where God's love is poured out through the Person of the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). It doesn't come cheap though - about $275 a shot (for the weekend). If you'd to secretly gift a person to go (partially or fully), see Donna T.

FACEMASKING | SOCIAL DISTANCING

While everyone has a choice not to mask, face-masking is "strongly encouraged" while inside the buildings on church property. While taking communion please remain 6 feet apart with sensitivity to those more susceptible to health issues than others (1 Corinthians 8:9).

THREE WAYS TO PRAY FOR YOUR CHURCH

  • The Prayer Hive is always a place to go to pray for individuals in the church.

  • Wednesday Morning Zoom Intercession groups. 8:00 AM.

  • Right now:

Almighty and everlasting God, you govern all things in heaven and on earth: Mercifully hear our prayers, and grant that in our congregation the pure Word of God may be preached and the Sacraments duly administered. Strengthen and confirm the faithful; protect and guide the children; visit and relieve the sick; turn and soften the wicked; arouse the careless; recover the fallen; restore the penitent; remove all hinderances to the advancement of your truth; and bring us all to be one heart and mind within your holy Church, to the honor and glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

BLESSED IN GIVING ALL 'ROUND

We are so grateful for your continued giving. Giving is best done:

  • In the offering plates at the rear of the church (as you enter)

  • Online giving here.

  • Given directly to Donna T.

Special funds such as the discretionary/deacon's fund and the Mission of the Month fund can be specifically targeted by earmarking your check accordingly.

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Luke 6:38
