WELCOME!

Whether on the silver screen or in person, we are glad you're here - especially those online!

THIS SUNDAY:

  • Communion service (8:00 AM) here.

  • Non-Communion service (10:00 AM) here.

  • Scripture readings here.

  • Weekly Fellowship: Hot drinks and snacks are available between the services, in addition to after each service.

KIDZCHURCH THIS WEEK

Our theme this week is serving others as Christ has served us. In fact, we will be serving the grown-ups in a special way after the 10:00 AM service! Kids will leave for the Grange Hall just after the opening worship songs! Friends are welcome to join in the fun, too!

If you are a parent and would like to follow up on the KidzChurch theme of the month, you can see an outline of any given month's teaching towards the bottom of the KidzChurch web page.

VESTRY

Vestry meets this week, October 14th. Pray for your leaders to hear the Lord and maintain vision. Pray against the enemy who would like to thwart the good things happening. And pray for the church, God's city on the hill in Andover!

RUMMAGE SALE

Our next rummage sale (and bake) is Saturday, October 30. If you have items you'd like to give for the sale please bring them in anytime after the Wednesday before the sale, anytime after October 27.

OTOBER MISSION OF THE MONTH: OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Each year we send shoeboxes of love all around the world. Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse. Ideas for age-based children are here. Curious to learn more. See Donna T.

THE BISHOP IS COMING! THE BISHOP IS COMING!

On November 14 we will be hosting Bishop Andrew as he visits to Confirm and Revive those desiring to become Anglican and install Pastors Bill and Cinnamon officially here at Andover. One service @ 10:00 AM, with a special reception to follow.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE RECEIVED OR CONFIRMED IN THE CHURCH?

Church members are invited to receive the laying on of hands from the Bishop when he visits. Being "received" is for those confirmed in other major denomination. If you were confirmed in the Catholic Church, for example, you would be received in the Anglican Church. Those being confirmed are those who have never taken the plunge. This years' confirmands would have taken the class offered earlier this fall. If you would like to be either received or confirmed on November 14, please see either Bill or Cinnamon this Sunday.

IS CHURCH LEADERSHIP IN YOUR FUTURE?

In January we will be looking to fill four positions on the Vestry. Two are for two years, two will serve for three. Vestry leadership oversees the business end of the church and thus business leaders, those savvy with getting things done, those skilled with "left-brained" gifts are especially welcomed. See Alice, our Senior Warden, for more information.

GOT A TASTE FOR BEAUTY IN WORSHIP?

Bill is seeking a person to assist him in creating ways to deepen our worship experience through art, lighting, and symbols. Light construction skills would be helpful. Feeling crafty? Catch up with him this Sunday.

WE ARE ANGLICANS FOR LIFE

Many don't realize we are a definitive pro-life church. We pray for and support the unborn, unwed mothers, and the sanctity of human life every Sunday. The ministry that we are most attached to is called Anglicans for Life. A second, more local ministry we support is Aspire Women's Center. Pray for the unborn.

ENCOUNTER WEEKEND

This weekend will change your life. A near perfect follow up for those who have completed ALPHA.

  • Women's Encounter: November 19 - 21, 2021

  • Men's Encounter: December 3 - 5, 2021

Diocesan information page here. See Pastor Cinnamon for more information.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR OTHERS

Both the ALPHA program and Encounter Weekends provide a full weekend where God's love is revealed. Many cannot afford such an experience and look for partial scholarships to make it happen. If you would like to give so that others may receive, please see Donna T.

WEBSITE MAKEOVER

Jef D. and others are working to make your website easier to navigate and more attractive to the cyber-visitor. If you haven't been here for a while we invite you to look at our new digs!

FACEMASKING | SOCIAL DISTANCING

While everyone has a choice not to mask, face-masking is "strongly encouraged" while inside the buildings on church property. While taking communion please remain 6 feet apart with sensitivity to those more susceptible to health issues than others (1 Corinthians 8:9).

THREE WAYS TO PRAY FOR YOUR CHURCH

  • The Prayer Hive is always a place to go to pray for individuals in the church.

  • Wednesday Morning Zoom Intercession groups. 8:00 AM.

  • Right now:

Almighty and everlasting God, you govern all things in heaven and on earth: Mercifully hear our prayers, and grant that in our congregation the pure Word of God may be preached and the Sacraments duly administered. Strengthen and confirm the faithful; protect and guide the children; visit and relieve the sick; turn and soften the wicked; arouse the careless; recover the fallen; restore the penitent; remove all hinderances to the advancement of your truth; and bring us all to be one heart and mind within your holy Church, to the honor and glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

BLESSED IN GIVING ALL 'ROUND

We are so grateful for your continued giving. Giving is best done:

  • In the offering plates at the rear of the church (as you enter)

  • Online giving here.

  • Given directly to Donna T.

Special funds such as the discretionary/deacon's fund and the Mission of the Month fund can be specifically targeted by earmarking your check accordingly.

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Luke 6:38
