What Is A BLOG

I would have called it something different. Something more descriptive like, "Free Flowing Thoughts," or "Stuff I Never Knew," you know, along those lines. Alas, we're stuck with that good old floppy sloppy word, BLOG.

No matter, we'll make the best of it, and as we head into 2023 I'll be posting thoughts, teachings, and deep thoughts about our church, the season of the year, and most importantly, write stuff that - things that - by God's grace - make us a bit more like Christ.

I believe that there is a special plan for our church. I believe and that each of us has a personal mission, too - something so unique and wonderful that can only be done by you. I want to bless that, write into that, and sing into that, too. All of your accumulated experiences - good and bad, righteous, unGodly, remorseful, and prizeworthy - have all happened for a reason. Jesus will take what has happened to you on the other side of the cross and use it for the sake of others on this side of the cross.

And he will put people in your life with whom you can speak into, because they are needing to be pulled through to where you now stand.

What is a BLOG. Hopefully it's a place of water, food, encouragement, and perspective. A place to remember and recall who we are in Christ, his mission through us, and be refreshed in his ongoing plans for our lives.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jer. 29:11
