 WELCOME!
Whether on the silver screen or in person, we are glad you're here. We pray God will bless and encourage you as we meet.

PENTECOST SUNDAY W/OUTSIDE FELLOWSHIP

This Sunday we remember and celebrate the birthday of the church. Pentecost Sunday marks the initial outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the disciples which Jesus promised to continue the work of his ministry. Today, 2000 years later, the Spirit is still being poured out without limit upon those who call upon his name by simply "asking" (See Luke 11:13) which we will do Sunday. Traditionally Anglicans wear red to symbolize the Spirit's fire.

This Sunday get your red on!

THANK YOU FROM "DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS"

Last month's "Mission of the Month" raised over $600 for a family in hard hit Katy Texas. They are extremely grateful and even made a thank you video for us to watch in church on Sunday. You can see it here, too.

LEND A HAND: BE A PUPPETEER

KidzChurch is seeking one or two people who can move their hands like a Muppet. If this sounds like fun to you talk to Fr. Bill.

FACE MASK UPDATE

Even with COVID waning, your leadership is engaged with when and how to open our worship services. We have been blessed not to have had a single Sunday without holding services, and blessed that no one has gotten the virus on our watch. One day we will be free to worship without masks. In the meantime, know your leadership is watchful and prayerful about how to lift the masks and when.

GET CHOSEN

Our current book study is a unique blend of on-line video programs (which folks will watch at home) and reading/discussion questions (which we will share on the silver screen). The Chosen is a unique presentation of the Gospel and well worth spending the next ten weeks looking at! For more information on the study, when it will begin, times, and schedules click here.

PAVE THE PARKING LOT THIS SUMMER

With the expertise of Ted. K., we have developed two phases of parking lot paving.

  • Phase 1 has to do with preparing the lot through water providing adequate water drainage from the Grange Hall and hill (under the current lot)

  • Phase 2 has to do with the paving of the lower and upper parking lots themselves, to be done later this summer.

We are currently getting a second estimate and will share with the church exact monies need to donate. For specifics contact Jr. Warden Eric F. here. For how to donate email Donna T. here, or ask any one of the church officers (Alice, Linda M., Eric, and Donna) this Sunday.

MAY'S MISSION OF THE MONTH: ASPIRE WOMEN'S CENTER

Aspire Women's Center is a pro-life non-prophet ministry that offers hope to women through counselling, adaption services, testing, and even help for men. This month we are filling the baby bottles (get them in church) with loose change and bills for the cause. To see the wonderful ministry of Aspire click here, to get more information on the missional outreach contact Linda here.

TITHES AND OFFERINGS
The leadership thanks you for your faithful giving! While we do have offering plates located in the rear of the church, we strongly encourage pledgers to give online here.

Tithe-ly is the online service we use. It is safe, convenient, and it helps our treasurer with end of the year statements, monthly reporting, and future budgeting. There are other ways to give as well. They include one time gifts (online or in the plate), snail mail, or in person on Sundays.

Almighty God, whose loving hand hath given us all that we possess:

grant us grace that we may honor thee with our substance,

and, remembering the account which we must one day give,

may be faithful stewards of they bounty,

through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.

(From the 1662 Book of Common Prayer)

VOLUNTEER FOR THE CLOTHING SHED MINISTRY TO HELP COMMUNITY

Our church has become a clothing drop-off place for the community. All donations reduce waste in landfills, are distributed worldwide, and are tax deductible. Besides that, the church receives a whopping 4 cents on the pound for all donations! We're seeking an additional volunteer to assist with the bags, a once a week obligationInterested? Email Donna T. here.
